A Kiwi surgeon who treated Jofra Archer has been identified by the medical staff of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and urgent arrangements are being made to have the pacer evacuated to Auckland as soon as feasible.
Bumrah may need to take a lengthy break from playing cricket, and he may not even be available for the Asia Cup (in August-September). His preparation for the World Cup in October-November is the BCCI management’s current top focus.
