BCCI penalizes Avesh Khan and du Plessis over on-field conduct.

The BCCI has acknowledged the aggressive behavior of Avesh Khan following the final ball of the IPL 2023 game between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru. Avesh Khan, the head coach of Lucknow Super Giants, celebrates after winning the IPL Twenty20 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants on April 10, 2023.

Additionally, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have incurred a penalty due to their slow over-rate in the IPL 2023 game against the Lucknow Super Giants held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This was the team’s first offense of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offenses, and as a result, captain Faf du Plessis was fined ₹12 lakh. During the match, RCB keeper Dinesh Karthik failed to gather the ball on the first chance, allowing enough time for Bishnoi and Avesh to reach home and seal a dramatic victory for LSG.

According to recent news, Avesh Khan has acknowledged being guilty of violating level 1 offense 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct and has accepted the corresponding penalty. It is important for players to maintain a professional attitude on and off the field, and the BCCI takes any breaches of the Code of Conduct seriously.
